Role Summary

The System Product Team seeks a hardware validation engineer to take NVIDIA GPU memory subsystems from first-silicon bring-up through production validation.

The role focuses on DDR memory tuning and validation, debugging controller/memory/board/firmware issues, and providing actionable feedback to silicon, board, and software teams.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The posting requests 2+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Plan and perform DDR memory tuning, validation, and feature enablement.
  • Review silicon design specifications, component datasheets, board schematics, and layout.
  • Debug and resolve issues across controller, memory, board, and software/firmware layers.
  • Refine memory bring-up and validation strategies and test plans.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to silicon, board, and software teams.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant hardware validation or related engineering experience.
  • Understanding of high-speed signal integrity and practical experience with oscilloscopes.
  • Familiarity with schematic capture and board design.
  • Working knowledge of PC systems, Windows, and Linux.
  • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and first-principles problem solving.
  • Proficiency with scripting or programming (for example C, C++, Java, Python, or Perl).
  • Effective collaboration and cross-disciplinary teamwork skills; comfortable working across time zones.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience as a tutor or teaching assistant.
  • Strong presentation skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) with affinity for mixed-signal/analog, embedded systems, or digital design β€” or equivalent practical experience.
