Job Title

Hardware Architect - NVLink Fusion

Role Summary

Design and architect the next generation of NVLink Fusion AI scale-up hardware for datacenter systems. Work across hardware, software, firmware, and platform teams to deliver system-level solutions for connectivity, coherency, power, security, and memory management.

Contribute to product architecture, model performance and power trade-offs, and guide engineering teams and customers to maximize system performance.

Experience Level

Senior-level. 12+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Lead system-level architecture for connectivity, coherency, power management, security, and memory management across products.
  • Analyze applications and ML models to determine architectural implications for hardware designs.
  • Specify and drive implementation of bus protocols, networking protocols, memory access, and security solutions.
  • Collaborate with software, firmware, platform, and multifunctional teams on hardware–software codesign.
  • Model, analyze, and communicate performance and power advantages of architectural choices.
  • Advise firmware engineers and customers on extracting maximum performance from NVIDIA hardware.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • 12+ years of industry experience building high-performance connectivity architectures.
  • Experience with standard networking and bus protocols.
  • Clear understanding of hardware–software codesign.
  • Strong coding and algorithmic problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Drive to continuously learn and expand architectural breadth and depth.
  • Nice-to-have: familiarity with large language models (LLMs); publications or other evidence of original chip/system architecture work.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
