Hardware AI Engineer
Role Summary
Work on AI-enabled automation to improve productivity for Arm digital hardware verification engineers. The role combines deep hardware verification domain knowledge with AI tooling to prototype, validate, and drive adoption of engineering automation at scale.
Embedded in the PE AI team, you will partner with architects and engineering teams to translate real verification challenges into AI-based solutions and run demos, workshops, and onboarding to ensure adoption.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop AI-based solutions and automation for hardware verification workflows.
- Build prototypes and evaluate EDA/AI tools to validate feasibility and measure impact.
- Integrate AI tooling with simulation flows, log analysis, code review/refactor support, and other verification infrastructure.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to gather requirements from real engineering problems.
- Lead adoption activities: demos, workshops, onboarding guides, and removing blockers.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Practical experience with design verification methodology and RTL design; familiarity with interfaces between RTL, testbench and Verification IP; experience debugging compile and simulation issues.
- Domain knowledge of at least one major EDA vendor toolset.
- Practical use of AI tooling for engineering automation (prompt design/iteration, structured outputs, tool integration).
- Strong problem-solving and cross-team troubleshooting ability in real environments.
- Clear written communication and ability to convert ambiguous input into actionable requirements and plans.
Nice-to-have:
- Strong scripting/automation skills (Python preferred) and experience integrating/orchestrating tools.
- Experience in application-engineer or internal customer-facing roles translating user needs into solutions.
- Familiarity with agentic workflows, skills, and tool-calling patterns.
