Job Title

Graphene Photonics Data Analyst (f/m/d)

Role Summary

Analyze and convert characterization and measurement data into actionable insights that guide device design, process development, and manufacturing decisions for graphene photonic devices. Work on the analysis software, data pipelines, and infrastructure as the company scales from R&D toward production.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The posting requests at least two years of relevant industry or research experience (relevant PhD project experience is acceptable).

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include developing and operating analysis software and data workflows that support device engineering and manufacturing:

  • Own and continuously improve the characterization analysis software suite.
  • Develop new analysis methods as experiments and measurement capabilities evolve.
  • Build and maintain reliable, scalable data infrastructure and analysis pipelines.
  • Ensure integrity, accuracy, and traceability of analysis outputs.
  • Convert raw measurement data into actionable insights for process and design decisions.
  • Extract device parameters from measured data and benchmark against physical and compact models.
  • Perform statistical process and yield analyses to identify trends, correlations, and outliers across wafers and lots.
  • Correlate characterization results with process parameters to close the loop on process control.
  • Integrate analysis outputs with fab MES and data systems and transition mature R&D code into production-ready tools optimized for throughput and scalability.

Requirements

Required technical skills and experience. Items marked as "Nice-to-have" are optional but beneficial.

  • Must-have: At least two years of relevant industry or research experience.
  • Must-have: Strong Python skills and software engineering practices; experience designing, developing, and owning a software pipeline or technical project end-to-end.
  • Must-have: Solid foundation in device physics, including solid-state physics, semiconductor devices, and photonics.
  • Must-have: Experience with statistical analysis, model fitting, and parameter extraction.
  • Must-have: Experience with data visualization and tracking trends across wafers, lots, or manufacturing processes.
  • Must-have: Experience working with laboratory or fab instrument interfaces.
  • Must-have: Experience building or maintaining scalable data infrastructure and ensuring data traceability and reproducibility.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience integrating with MES/fab data systems and enabling real-time process feedback.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with high-volume production analytics, yield engineering, compact device models, or advanced photonics measurement techniques.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with cloud platforms, databases, or big-data tooling for analytics at scale.

Education Requirements

M.S. or PhD in Data Science, Physics, or another relevant technical discipline is requested. The posting also references related PhD project experience as acceptable. No specific certifications were listed.
