Job Title

Graduate Verification Engineer

Role Summary

The Graduate Verification Engineer will join the Solutions Engineering team responsible for designing and verifying System-on-Chips (SoCs) that integrate CPUs, GPUs, NPUs and system IP. The role focuses on RTL design and integration, verification of blocks and SoC-level functional validation to ensure performance, area and power targets are met.

Team work includes collaborating with architects and designers, applying digital design and verification skills, and contributing to real product projects from day one.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Graduate). Suitable for recent graduates or candidates on track to complete a degree; no specific years-of-experience required.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include RTL design, verification and system-level validation.

  • Design and integrate RTL blocks using hardware description languages (e.g., Verilog).
  • Review architecture and micro-architecture specifications and suggest improvements.
  • Develop and execute verification plans using SystemVerilog-based checks and traffic generation.
  • Perform functional validation of integrated systems against architectural requirements.
  • Debug and resolve design and verification issues; perform root-cause analysis.
  • Write scripts and tools (Python, C) to automate tests and accelerate verification.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to deliver high-performance, power-efficient SoCs.

Requirements

Core technical skills and attributes expected for the role.

  • Must-have: Practical experience or academic coursework with digital design fundamentals, RTL (Verilog), and programming in C and Python.
  • Must-have: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement verification tests or design code to address given problems.
  • Must-have: Good interpersonal and communication skills and an analytical approach to debugging and verification.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience or exposure to SystemVerilog and UVM-based verification on complex designs.
  • Nice-to-have: Previous experience with SoC-level verification, traffic generation, or testbench development.

Education Requirements

Hold (or be on track to hold) a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.
