Graduate Trainee Engineer (Aprisa 3DIC)
Role Summary
Join the Siemens EDA Aprisa R&D team in Taipei as a junior software developer focused on placement-and-routing (P&R) and routing-related EDA tooling. Contribute to product development, algorithm implementation, debugging, and testing within a collaborative engineering team.
Report to a software development manager, work with senior engineers, and meet development and training objectives for Aprisa product lines.
Experience Level
Entry-level. Guidance: 1–3 years of relevant software or EDA engineering experience; P&R EDA experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include implementing algorithms, developing features, and collaborating with the Aprisa team to deliver quality software.
- Design and implement P&R and routing-related features in C/C++.
- Develop and optimize algorithms involving graph theory and geometry manipulation.
- Debug complex flows and maintain large codebases.
- Implement and test code on Linux; work on multithreaded solutions where applicable.
- Collaborate with product, QA, and other engineers; participate in code reviews and documentation.
Requirements
Technical must-haves and useful additional skills.
- 1–3 years of experience in P&R EDA tool development; routing experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and strong background in algorithm development, graph theory, and debugging.
- Experience working with large codebases and problem-solving in complex systems.
- Good communication skills in English and Mandarin.
- Nice-to-have: familiarity with machine learning techniques; experience with Linux, shell scripting, Tcl, Perl, Python; knowledge of multithreaded implementation and large-scale enterprise software.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
