Role Summary

As a graduate trainee in the Software IP Solutions group, you will work on High Speed Protocol IP for Altera FPGA devices. The role focuses on RTL design and implementation, verification, FPGA emulation prototyping, and hardware validation under mentorship from experienced engineers.

This structured graduate program provides hands-on experience in FPGA design, IP development, simulation, and integration workflows.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Implement RTL (Verilog/VHDL) for protocol IP cores.
• Develop and run RTL verification, testbenches, and simulations.
• Support FPGA emulation/prototyping and hardware bring-up/validation.
• Automate flows and write scripts to support simulation and toolchains.
• Use EDA tools for synthesis, simulation, and implementation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and document technical results.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills:

• Familiarity with HDL languages (Verilog, VHDL).
• Basic understanding of FPGA architecture and development flow.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective communication and teamwork.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologies.
• Nice-to-have: scripting experience (Python, TCL, Bash) and familiarity with EDA tools (Vivado, Quartus, ModelSim).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
