Role Summary

Join Intel's Product Enablement Solutions Group within Central Engineering to develop EDA tool integrations, SoC hardware design methodologies, and automation that improve design efficiency and time-to-market. The role collaborates with engineering teams and EDA developers to debug tool issues, own design blocks, and deliver solutions for microprocessor and SoC product development.

Work includes designing workflows, automating tasks, and innovating advanced methodologies to improve productivity across product and foundry projects.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Graduate; suitable for recent graduates. No specific years of experience required.

Responsibilities

The core responsibilities are delivering and operationalizing design solutions and automation within SoC design flows.

  • Own one or more design blocks and drive block recipes and deliverables.
  • Analyze and debug EDA tool errors and quality violations; fix issues in design or coordinate fixes with EDA developers.
  • Automate design tasks to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.
  • Develop technical solutions to complex engineering problems using established engineering judgment.
  • Innovate and collaborate on advanced design methodologies to meet evolving industry demands.
  • Work independently on research and pathfinding to identify and validate implementation approaches.
  • Coordinate across teams to meet fast-paced project schedules.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes; preferred items are listed separately.

  • Must-have: Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as TCL, Perl, or Python.
  • Must-have: Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and development tools.
  • Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to multitask.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with computer architecture, digital logic design, and VLSI layout.
  • Preferred: Experience working within collaborative, fast-paced project schedules.
  • Preferred: Excellent communication, proactive and self-motivated approach.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science; or equivalent practical experience.
