Job Title

Graduate Talent (CPU Design Verification)

Role Summary

Perform pre-silicon functional verification of CPU logic to ensure the design meets specifications. Work within a verification team to develop verification plans, test benches, environments, and system simulations, and to debug and resolve functional issues before silicon.

Collaborate with CPU architects and RTL developers to verify architectural and microarchitectural features and maintain verification infrastructure and methodology.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Graduate role. Suitable for new graduates with relevant academic or practical experience in CPU verification and related tools.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include designing and executing verification efforts for CPU logic:

  • Develop IP verification plans, test benches, and verification environments to meet microarchitecture specifications.
  • Implement and run system-level simulations to verify functionality, performance, and power targets.
  • Replicate, root-cause, and debug issues found in pre-silicon simulations; implement corrective measures.
  • Execute verification plans and ensure adequate coverage.
  • Document test plans and present technical reviews with design and architecture teams.
  • Maintain and improve functional verification infrastructure and methodology.
  • Collaborate with architects and RTL developers on complex features and verification approaches.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, tools, and abilities:

  • Experience with SystemVerilog and UVM.
  • Practical knowledge of CPU architecture and computer systems.
  • Scripting experience (e.g., Perl, Python).
  • Familiarity with verification tools and methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills; able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
