Role Summary

Entry-level layout engineer supporting analog and mixed-signal IP development as an individual contributor under senior guidance. The role executes custom layout implementation and physical verification tasks for analog blocks used in SoC and IP designs.

Experience Level

Entry-level — 0–2 years of professional experience or strong academic exposure in analog/custom layout design.

Responsibilities

Execute and verify analog/custom layout work for assigned blocks and support signoff activities.

• Perform analog and custom layout design for assigned blocks under supervision.
• Implement layouts using Virtuoso, Custom Compiler, or equivalent tools.
• Run and debug physical verification checks including DRC and LVS.
• Perform density, reliability, EM/IR (RedHawk, Totem, or equivalent) checks and ESD/latch-up checks as applicable.
• Follow layout constraints from circuit designers and layout leads; support ECOs and layout iterations toward signoff closure.
• Adhere to established methodologies, checklists, and quality standards.
• Document layout issues and support design reviews with senior engineers.

• Effective documentation and communication skills to support reviews.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree (B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field. The posting targets candidates with 0–2 years of experience or strong academic exposure in analog/custom layout design.
