Graduate SoC Performance Engineer

Role Summary

The Graduate SoC Performance Engineer will build performance models, investigate system bottlenecks, and contribute to the design and verification of high-speed interconnects for Arm-based systems. The role sits within the Hardware Engineering team in Austin and supports architecture, RTL, and validation activities to improve system performance.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include modeling, measurement, and cross-team collaboration to assess and improve SoC performance.

  • Build and maintain performance models for SoC subsystems and interconnects.
  • Profile systems to locate and quantify performance bottlenecks.
  • Recommend and evaluate architectural or microarchitectural optimizations.
  • Collaborate with architecture, RTL, and software teams to validate designs and trade-offs.
  • Develop scripts, benchmarks, and tooling to automate performance experiments and analysis.
  • Document results and present findings to engineering stakeholders.
