Job Title

Graduate Engineer, System IP Engineering

Role Summary

The Budapest System IP team designs and verifies System IP components for client, embedded and IoT devices. As a graduate engineer you will contribute to microarchitecture specification, RTL development and verification, and formal bring-up to deliver performant, energy-efficient, secure IP.

You will work within a cross-functional engineering team collaborating with design, performance modelling, validation and implementation to meet functional, performance, power and area targets.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Graduate). Typical 0–3 years of relevant experience; suitable for recent graduates or those early in their engineering career.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include design, verification and integration of System IP blocks.

  • Contribute to System IP microarchitecture specification and block design.
  • Develop and execute SystemVerilog RTL verification (UVM) and debug results.
  • Perform formal verification and assist with formal bring-up of IP blocks.
  • Collaborate with performance modelling, validation and implementation teams to meet functional, performance, power and area goals.
  • Document designs, verification plans and results; participate in design and code reviews.
  • Support integration and validation on target platforms.

Requirements

Required technical skills and background. "Nice-to-have" items indicate desirable experience beyond the core requirements.

  • Must-have: Practical knowledge of digital logic and RTL concepts; familiarity with SystemVerilog and verification methodologies (UVM) or equivalent coursework/experience.
  • Must-have: Basic scripting skills (Python, Perl or similar) for automation and debug.
  • Nice-to-have: Block-level RTL design and verification experience for ASIC or FPGA developments.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with AMBA or other bus protocols and with formal verification tools.
  • Nice-to-have: Understanding of CPU/GPU/cache, memory and I/O subsystem concepts.

Education Requirements

Hold, or be on track to hold, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering by the programme start date.
