Graduate Digital Design Electrical Engineer

Role Summary

Join the Infrastructure Power team in Austin, TX to develop digital functionality for advanced power ICs. The role focuses on digital design, verification, debug, simulation, and automation script development in a hands-on engineering team.

This is an entry-level, full-time onsite position working with experienced engineers to deliver and validate digital blocks for production silicon.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” BS with up to 2 years of experience or MS with 0 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design verification, debugging, and automation support across pre-silicon and post-silicon flows.

  • Develop, debug, and verify digital designs in pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
  • Write and maintain tests to verify digital designs (SystemVerilog-based testbenches).
  • Develop and improve scripts to automate design and verification flows (e.g., Python/Perl).
  • Document design requirements, architecture, and implementation details.
  • Research and evaluate tools to improve the design and verification process.

Must-have:

  • Comfortable debugging mixed-signal designs using SystemVerilog-based testbenches.
  • Proficient in a scripting language such as Python or Perl for automation.
  • Strong analytical skills and methodical debugging approach.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project work demonstrating collaborative and innovative thinking.

Nice-to-have (preferred):

  • Experience with Cadence or Synopsys tools such as SimVision or Verdi.
  • Familiarity with ARM Cortex-M series processors and general computer architecture.
  • Academic or practical experience with serial interfaces.
  • Exposure to mixed-signal designs and basic analog circuit concepts.
  • Prior industry employment or internship experience in related areas.

Education Requirements

Requires a BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (EE/ECE). Entry-level guidance specifies a BS with up to 2 years of experience or an MS with no experience.
