Graduate - Design Verification Engineer
Advanced Micro DevicesJob Title
Graduate - Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join a silicon design verification team to verify DDR subsystems that include DDR/LPDDR controllers, PHYs, clock IPs and related components. You will work with verification engineers and RTL designers using SystemVerilog/UVM and formal methods to validate designs and improve verification quality.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Graduate role. Suitable for recent graduates or engineers with internship or project-level verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on functional verification and formal proof of DDR subsystem designs.
- Develop and execute verification plans and tests for DDR subsystems.
- Write formal properties and assertions to prove design correctness.
- Create tests, sequences, and testbench components in SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Coordinate with RTL engineers to implement and verify clock gating and other logic improvements.
- Monitor verification quality metrics such as pass rates, code coverage, and functional coverage.
- Debug failures, analyze coverage gaps, and iterate on tests and design fixes.
- Collaborate with team members and learn from verification experts to grow technical skills.
Requirements
Key technical and professional requirements. Degree requirements are summarized separately below.
- Must-have: Knowledge of SystemVerilog and UVM for verification; experience writing testbenches and test sequences.
- Must-have: Familiarity with formal verification techniques and tools or functional verification flows (e.g., VCS).
- Must-have: Experience with Verilog or SystemVerilog designs and testbench construction.
- Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective verbal and written communication; ability to work in a team.
- Nice-to-have: Project-level or internship experience in RTL implementation or verification; prior exposure to DDR subsystem concepts.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. The posting emphasizes a strong academic record and project experience. (No explicit statement of "or equivalent experience" was provided.)
