Graduate Applications Engineer
Role Summary
Provide technical support and mentorship to Arm partners integrating Arm CPUs and System IP into customer SoC designs. Work on integration, configuration, performance analysis and debugging using RTL simulation and related flows.
Collaborate with IP design and product teams, deliver training, perform SoC build reviews, and produce application notes and knowledge-base content to improve partner outcomes.

Entry-level (Graduate).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include customer support, integration reviews, testing, and knowledge transfer.
- Respond to partner technical questions on Arm CPU and System IP integration and optimization.
- Investigate issues and debug RTL using simulation and waveform viewers.
- Perform customer SoC build reviews and recommend functionality and optimization changes.
- Develop and deliver technical training courses onsite and remotely.
- Collaborate with IP design and product management teams to improve partner experience and influence IP features.
- Test IP releases and provide feedback prior to customer delivery.
- Create and maintain web-based knowledge-base articles and application notes.
- Develop tools and techniques to improve diagnostic and integration efficiency.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and constraints for the role.
- Proficient with hardware description languages: Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
- Strong understanding of CPU architecture principles and SoC design fundamentals.
- Experience using RTL simulation and debug tools and waveform viewers (examples: QuestaSim, Verdi, Cadence SimVision, Xcelium).
- Familiarity with common developer tools and editors (e.g. Visual Studio Code, Vim) and debug workflows.
- Ability to work with distributed and remote teams; perform customer-facing work onsite when required.
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of AMBA bus protocols.
- Familiarity with the Arm Architecture.
- Understanding of system coherency concepts.
- Experience with PCIe, CXL, and/or UCIe specifications.
Education Requirements
BSc degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (ECE) or equivalent practical experience. The posting specifies "BSc Degree or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering (ECE) or equivalent."
