Job Title
Graduate - Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer
Role Summary
Entry-level engineering role within Infineon's graduate program focused on analog and mixed-signal circuit design, simulation, verification, and silicon characterization. The engineer will work with cross-functional teams (design, physical design, lab technicians) to validate building blocks such as precision, low-power analog/I/O, data converters, and clock-generation IP.
Experience Level
Entry-level — suitable for recent graduates or engineers with approximately 0–2 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Key technical responsibilities:
- Develop schematics, perform circuit analysis, and run pre-layout simulations to validate design intent.
- Run simulations and verify analog/mixed-signal building blocks (precision, low-power analog, I/O circuits).
- Collaborate on design verification and optimize testbenches for analog/digital signal verification.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in analog/mixed-signal circuits; perform post-layout parasitic extraction and verification.
- Work with physical design teams to address layout-critical requirements.
- Support silicon bring-up, bench evaluation, and characterization; coordinate measurements with lab technicians.
- Prepare clear design documentation and present architecture, implementation, and validation results in technical reviews.
Requirements
Core skills and preferred experience. Must-have items are listed first; nice-to-have items follow.
-
Must-have: Proficiency with the Cadence mixed-signal design tool suite.
- Hands-on design and simulation experience with data converters and/or clock-generation IP.
- Strong foundation in analog and mixed-signal circuit design, simulation, debugging, and verification.
- Experience with post-layout parasitic extraction and collaborating with physical/layout teams.
- Practical experience supporting silicon bring-up, bench evaluation, and characterization.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills.
-
Nice-to-have: Power Management IC design experience; experience using AI tools for design and verification.
Education Requirements
Graduated within the last year preferred. Master’s or PhD in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Quality Assurance preferred.
