Job Title
Graduate - Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer
Role Summary
Entry-level engineering role focused on design, simulation, verification, and bring-up of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits. You will work with cross-functional teams including verification, physical design, and lab technicians to validate building blocks such as precision analog I/O, data converters, and clock-generation IP.
Experience Level
Entry-level — graduate / recent graduate. Role targets candidates who have recently completed a Master’s or PhD.
Responsibilities
Work across design, verification, and test to deliver validated analog/mixed-signal IP and silicon.
- Collaborate on design verification and optimize testbenches for analog/digital signal verification.
- Develop schematics, perform circuit analysis, and run pre-layout simulations to validate design intent.
- Simulate analog/mixed-signal building blocks (precision analog, low-power analog, I/O circuits, data converters, clock-generation).
- Debug and troubleshoot analog/mixed-signal circuit issues.
- Prepare design documentation and present architecture, implementation, and validation results in technical reviews.
- Coordinate with physical design teams on layout-critical requirements; perform post-layout parasitic extraction and verification.
- Support silicon bring-up, bench evaluation, and characterization; work closely with lab technicians on measurements.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and professional abilities required to perform the role.
- Proficiency with the Cadence mixed-signal design tool suite.
- Hands-on experience in design and simulation of data converters and/or clock-generation IP.
- Strong foundation in analog and mixed-signal circuit design.
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting circuits; able to drive problem resolution.
- Experience with silicon bring-up, bench evaluation, and characterization.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and time-management skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Power management IC design experience.
- High attention to detail across architecture definition, circuit design, debugging, and documentation.
Education Requirements
Graduated within the last year with a Master’s or PhD preferred in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Quality Assurance. (Education preference specified; equivalent practical experience not stated.)
