Job Title
Graduate - Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer
Role Summary
Entry-level analog/mixed-signal (AMS) design engineer role within Infineon's graduate program. The engineer will design, simulate, verify, and help characterize AMS building blocks and IP, working closely with cross-functional teams including physical design and lab technicians.
Experience Level
Entry-level. Role targeted at recent graduates and early-career engineers.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop schematics and perform pre-layout circuit analysis and simulations for AMS building blocks (precision, low-power analog, I/O circuits).
- Collaborate on testbench and design verification for analog/digital signal verification.
- Run simulations to validate data converters, clock-generation IP, and other AMS blocks.
- Debug and troubleshoot analog/mixed-signal circuits and validate fixes.
- Prepare clear design documentation and present architecture, implementation, and validation results in technical reviews.
- Work with physical/layout teams on layout-critical requirements, perform post-layout parasitic extraction, and complete post-layout circuit verification.
- Support silicon bring-up, bench evaluation, and characterization; coordinate measurements with lab technicians.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes:
- Proficiency with the Cadence mixed-signal design tool suite.
- Hands-on experience designing and simulating data converters and/or clock-generation IP.
- Strong foundation in analog and mixed-signal circuit design, simulation, and debugging.
- Experience with post-layout verification and parasitic extraction workflows.
- Experience supporting silicon bring-up and bench characterization activities.
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation and present results in reviews.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Power management IC design experience.
Education Requirements
Recent graduate. Source states a Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Quality Assurance preferred; Bachelor's degree also referenced. No mention of alternative-equivalent experience language.
