Job Title
Graduate - Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer
Role Summary
Entry-level engineering role within Infineon's analog/mixed-signal design organization. The role supports schematic and circuit-level design, pre- and post-layout simulation, verification, and silicon bring-up for precision, low-power analog and I/O circuits.
Experience Level
Entry-level (recent graduate). Candidates who graduated within the last year are preferred.
Responsibilities
Primary engineering tasks and team interactions:
- Develop schematics and run pre-layout simulations to validate analog/mixed-signal design intent.
- Perform design verification and optimize testbenches for analog/digital signal verification in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Simulate and validate building blocks such as data converters, clock-generation IP, precision and low-power analog/I/O circuits.
- Debug and troubleshoot analog/mixed-signal circuits and resolve issues revealed in simulation or silicon.
- Coordinate with physical/layout teams on layout-critical requirements and complete post-layout parasitic extraction and verification.
- Support silicon bring-up, bench evaluation, and characterization; work closely with lab technicians to collect comprehensive measurements.
- Prepare clear design documentation and present architecture, implementation, and validation results in technical reviews.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes; nice-to-have items listed separately.
-
Must-have: Proficiency with the Cadence mixed-signal design tool suite.
-
Must-have: Hands-on experience designing and simulating data converters and/or clock-generation IP.
-
Must-have: Strong foundation in analog and mixed-signal circuit design, simulation, and debugging.
-
Must-have: Ability to produce concise technical documentation and present results in reviews.
-
Must-have: Effective interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills for cross-functional collaboration.
-
Nice-to-have: Power Management IC design experience.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience using AI tools for design and verification.
Education Requirements
Preferred: Master's or PhD in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Quality Assurance; candidates who graduated within the last year are preferred.
