Job Title
Graduate - Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer
Role Summary
As a graduate analog mixed-signal design engineer you will develop and verify analog and mixed-signal IP, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support silicon bring-up and characterization. The role emphasizes schematic-level design, simulation, verification and debugging of precision and low-power analog/I/O circuits.
This position is part of Infineon's graduate/early-career intake and works closely with physical design, lab technicians and validation teams.
Experience Level
Entry-level β recent graduates; candidates who graduated within the last year are preferred.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include design, verification, simulation, and support for silicon validation:
- Design verification: develop and optimize testbenches for analog/digital signal verification and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Circuit design: create schematics, perform circuit analysis, and run pre-layout simulations to validate design intent.
- Simulation: validate analog/mixed-signal building blocks such as precision and low-power analog and I/O circuits.
- Debugging: troubleshoot circuit-level issues and iterate on designs.
- Documentation and reviews: prepare design documentation and present architecture, implementation, and validation results in technical reviews.
- Physical collaboration: work with physical/layout teams on layout constraints, perform post-layout parasitic extraction and verification.
- Testing and bring-up: support silicon bring-up, bench evaluation, characterization and coordinate measurements with lab technicians.
Requirements
Required technical skills, with preferred additions noted.
-
Must-have: Strong foundation in analog and mixed-signal circuit design, including simulation and debugging.
-
Must-have: Proficiency with the Cadence mixed-signal design tool suite.
-
Must-have: Hands-on experience designing and simulating data converters and/or clock-generation IP.
-
Nice-to-have: Power management IC design experience.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience using AI tools for design and verification.
-
Soft skills: Good interpersonal, communication and time-management abilities; high attention to detail.
Education Requirements
Graduated within the last year with a Masters or PhD in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Quality Assurance preferred.
