Job Title
Graduate - Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer
Role Summary
Entry-level analog/mixed-signal design engineer role on a circuit design and verification team focused on precision, low-power analog and I/O building blocks. The role supports schematic and pre-layout simulation, verification, silicon bring-up, and cooperation with physical design and lab teams.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Graduate). Role targets recent graduates and junior engineers; typical background: 0–2 years of industry or research experience.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include design, simulation, verification, and validation of analog/mixed-signal IP and support of silicon bring-up and characterization.
- Develop schematics, perform circuit analysis, and run pre-layout simulations to validate design intent.
- Run analog/mixed-signal simulations for building blocks such as precision analog, low-power analog, I/O circuits, data converters, and clock-generation IP.
- Collaborate on design verification and optimize testbenches for analog/digital signal verification.
- Debug and troubleshoot analog/mixed-signal circuit issues; perform post-layout parasitic extraction and circuit verification.
- Work with physical design teams to address layout-critical requirements.
- Support silicon bring-up, bench evaluation, characterization, and coordinate measurements with lab technicians.
- Prepare clear design documentation and present architecture, implementation, and validation results in technical reviews.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience to perform the role; a short list of preferred qualifications follows.
-
Must-have: Proficiency with the Cadence mixed-signal design tool suite.
-
Must-have: Hands-on experience in design and simulation of data converters and/or clock-generation IP.
-
Must-have: Strong foundation in analog and mixed-signal circuit design, simulation, and debugging.
-
Must-have: Ability to produce technical documentation and present results in reviews.
-
Must-have: Effective communication and time-management skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and lab staff.
-
Nice-to-have: Power management IC design experience.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience using AI tools for design and verification.
Education Requirements
Recent graduate (within the last year) with a Master’s or PhD in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Quality Assurance preferred.
