Job Title
GQ_DEMRQA Compute RMA Lab Engineer
Role Summary
Lead system-level debug, failure analysis, and lab operations for RMA and engineering test requests. The role focuses on improving correlation between system-level test (SLT) results and physical failure analysis to reduce false failures and repeated debug cycles.
Work with cross-functional teams to identify device, package, and system interaction failures, scale lab operations, and provide technical mentorship.
Experience Level
Mid-level. The posting does not specify years of experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include system debug, failure analysis support, lab operations, and capability building.
- Perform SLT and system-level debug to identify and correlate failures with physical failure analysis (PFA).
- Conduct package-level PFA and support RMA investigations and engineering test requests.
- Differentiate device, package, and system interaction failures and report findings to stakeholders.
- Support and scale daily lab operations by optimizing tool utilization, prioritizing requests, and improving execution efficiency.
- Provide on-the-job training and technical mentorship to broaden team expertise in SLT/CRB ownership and cross-domain failure analysis.
- Collaborate with engineering, validation, and customer teams to implement corrective actions and process improvements.
Requirements
Summary of required and preferred skills based on the role description.
-
Must-have: Practical experience in system-level debug or failure analysis applied to testing and RMA investigations.
-
Must-have: Experience operating and prioritizing lab equipment and managing tool utilization in a production or engineering lab.
-
Must-have: Ability to analyze test data, correlate failures to root causes across device/package/system boundaries, and communicate technical results clearly.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience mentoring engineers, building team capability, and knowledge of SLT/CRB processes.
