GPU Verification Engineer - New College Grad 2026

Role Summary

Entry-level verification engineer on the GPU verification team responsible for verifying ASIC design, architecture and micro-architecture of NVIDIA GPUs and SoCs. Work includes developing verification plans, test generators, and verification infrastructure to validate GPU interactions, memory coherency, and system behavior.

Collaborate with architects, designers, and pre/post-silicon teams to implement and execute verification strategies that improve product quality across consumer graphics, automotive, and AI product lines.

Experience Level

Entry-level (New college graduate).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning and executing verification activities for GPU/SoC designs.

  • Verify ASIC design, architecture, and micro-architecture of GPUs and SoCs using industry verification methodologies.
  • Define verification scope and develop test plans for functional and micro-architectural coverage.
  • Design and implement test generators to validate GPU interactions, memory coherency, and consistency.
  • Develop and maintain verification infrastructure and automation using modern verification tools.
  • Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and pre- and post-silicon verification teams to debug and close verification issues.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and abilities; nice-to-have items listed separately.

  • Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting/automation using Python, Perl, or shell.
  • Experience with SystemVerilog and UVM.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of computer architecture and memory models.
  • Effective communication and ability to work in a distributed team.
  • Nice to have: exposure to verification and design tools such as VCS, emulation, FPGA, and debug environments.

Education Requirements

Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
