Senior-level. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree +9 years, Master's degree +6 years, or Ph.D. +4 years in GPU validation, silicon debugging, or related domains.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning and executing GPU validation, debugging silicon issues, and building validation infrastructure.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive functional validation plans covering hardware and software components.
  • Analyze and debug silicon issues; perform triage to identify root causes and resolve failures.
  • Test and validate system-level interactions among GPU, media, display, and platform features.
  • Design and implement post-silicon validation infrastructure (behavioral checkers, performance monitors, coverage tools).
  • Collaborate with architecture, design, verification, board, platform, and manufacturing teams to refine validation strategies and assess design changes.
  • Publish validation reports documenting findings, results, and recommendations.
  • Maintain and improve validation methodologies to meet product performance, power, and area goals.

Requirements

Concise list of required and preferred skills. Education requirements are summarized separately below.

  • Must-have: Proven experience in GPU validation and silicon debug, including functional validation, failure triage, and system-level verification.
  • Must-have: Strong technical knowledge of GPU architecture, media, and display technologies.
  • Must-have: Experience with validation tools and infrastructure and with developing post-silicon test environments.
  • Must-have: Practical experience debugging memory and platform issues (e.g., reset/boot/low-power flows, GDDR/LPDDR) and system interactions.
  • Must-have: Scripting proficiency (e.g., Python) for test automation and debugging.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with CI and debugging tools and frameworks (e.g., Jenkins, GDB, WinDbg), version control (Git), and issue tracking (JIRA).
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with server architectures, platform validation, and low-power management.
  • Other: Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Education Requirements

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 9+ years of related experience; OR Master's degree plus 6+ years; OR Ph.D. plus 4+ years working in GPU validation, silicon debugging, or related domains. The posting specifies a degree in a relevant field but does not list specific disciplines.
