Job Title

GPU System and Scheduling Architect - New College Grad 2026

Role Summary

Design and architect the GPU system interface and scheduling features as a member of the GPU architecture team. Collaborate with hardware, software, and verification teams to define and validate next-generation GPU functionality and performance.

Work includes creating functional and performance models (often in C++), developing test plans, and supporting post-silicon validation.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” New college graduate (recent BS/MS/PhD) or equivalent experience; suitable for early-career engineers.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include system architecture, feature planning, modeling, and validation.

  • Analyze GPU sub-system module interactions and their integration with the overall system.
  • Architect and plan features in coordination with software, hardware, and verification teams.
  • Develop functional and performance models (commonly in C++), and produce test plans to validate designs.
  • Support post-silicon validation and debug activities.
  • Continuously learn and iterate on design and validation approaches.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Strong coding proficiency in C or C++.
  • Exposure to post-silicon validation activities and debug.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, software, and verification teams.
  • Good analytical and modeling skills for performance and functional validation.

Nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of memory isolation and security, firmware, process scheduling, graphics APIs (OpenGL, DirectX), CUDA, DL/ML concepts, PCIe, AXI, NVLink, and/or CXL.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or Python.

Education Requirements

Recently completed a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Architecture, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related degree β€” or equivalent practical experience. Course work or industry experience in computer architecture, operating systems, and system architecture is expected.
