GPU Software Engineer
Role Summary
Work on AI-driven software development and validation for Intel's GPU and media software stacks. The team delivers full‑stack GPU and media capabilities across Intel platforms and collaborates with OS vendors, ISVs, and developers to enable AI and high‑performance media features.
This role focuses on developing, tuning, and validating high‑performance software modules and automation across Windows and Linux platforms.

Responsibilities
Hands‑on software and validation work across media, GPU, and AI stacks.
- Design and implement high‑performance software components using Python, C, and C++ (media and AI-related modules).
- Analyze, tune, and optimize performance and quality of the media software stack (runtime, driver, firmware) across Intel platforms.
- Develop automated validation and test tooling; maintain test frameworks and CI integration.
- Perform system debugging, integration, and cross‑component troubleshooting in multi‑OS environments (Windows, Linux).
- Integrate and deploy advanced AI models (LLMs, VLMs) and agentic frameworks into software pipelines.

- Proficient in Python, C, and C++ with strong code quality practices and adherence to coding standards.
- Hands‑on Windows and Linux software development experience and familiarity with the full software development and testing lifecycle.
- Experience in performance analysis, profiling, tuning, and optimization of software systems.
- Experience developing automated validation tools, test frameworks, and performing system integration testing and debugging.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, self‑motivation, and the ability to learn new AI technologies quickly.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills; able to collaborate with cross‑functional partners and external developers.
Preferred (nice‑to‑have):
- Deep understanding of video encoding/decoding and video processing technologies.
- Experience or knowledge of LLMs, agentic AI frameworks, and vision‑language models (VLMs).
Education Requirements
Master's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields; relevant work experience in software development and AI technologies.
