GPU (RTL) Design - Sr Lead
Role Summary
Senior RTL design lead responsible for RTL development and integration of GPU blocks. The role covers micro-architecture, multi-clock-domain design, synthesis and timing, and close collaboration with verification, validation and silicon debug teams.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 4 to 8 years of ASIC RTL design experience as indicated in the posting. Specific minimum experience varies by education level (see Education Requirements).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Architect and implement RTL for GPU blocks using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
- Design and integrate complex multi-clock-domain and asynchronous interfaces.
- Perform synthesis and timing analysis; drive timing-closure activities.
- Collaborate with design verification and validation teams for pre- and post-silicon debug.
- Use ASIC toolflow and debug tools throughout development and bring-up.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Strong RTL design and micro-architecture experience; Verilog/SystemVerilog required.
- Hands-on experience designing and integrating complex multi-clock-domain blocks and asynchronous interfaces.
- Knowledge of clocking, reset, and debug architecture.
- Familiarity with AMBA protocols: AXI, AHB, APB.
- Experience with ASIC development tools: lint, CDC analysis, synthesis/design compiler, PrimeTime.
- Solid understanding of synthesis and timing concepts for ASICs.
- Experience working with verification and validation teams for silicon debug.
- Nice-to-have: memory controller and microprocessor design experience; low-power design experience.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of hardware engineering experience; OR Master's degree in those fields with 2+ years of hardware engineering experience; OR PhD in those fields with 1+ year of hardware engineering experience.
