GPU Logic Design Engineer
Intel CorporationJob Title
GPU Logic Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and implement RTL for graphics IP blocks (compute, display, media), optimize logic for power, performance, area and timing, and ensure readiness for physical implementation. Work within the Graphics IP team in Intel's Data Center Group to deliver GPU building blocks that integrate into SoCs.
Daily tasks include RTL coding, microarchitecture contributions, unit verification, and cross-team collaboration with SoC and verification engineers.
Experience Level
Mid-level - typically 4β5+ years of relevant engineering experience (posting specifies 4+ years for M.Tech holders and 5+ years for B.Tech holders).
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop RTL and logic designs for GPU compute, display, and media blocks.
- Optimize designs to meet power, performance, area, and timing targets and ensure design integrity for physical implementation.
- Contribute to architecture and microarchitecture definition for GPU blocks.
- Review verification plans and drive unit-level verification; debug and resolve RTL test failures.
- Collaborate with SoC teams to ensure high-quality integration of GPU blocks.
- Use industry-standard EDA tools and flows for design, synthesis, timing analysis, linting, and CDC checks.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Hands-on RTL coding and logic design experience for GPU or similar domains.
- Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog.
- Experience with synthesis, static timing analysis, structural design, lint and CDC tools.
- Knowledge of computer architecture, microarchitecture, and timing closure methodologies.
- Experience in RTL-level verification, debugging RTL failures, and implementing fixes.
- Programming/scripting for automation with Python, Perl, or Shell.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional SoC, verification, and implementation teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with low-power design and power optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with ASIC design flow and industry-standard verification methodologies.
- Exposure to ML/AI or HPC workloads.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's (B.Tech/B.E.) or Master's (M.Tech/M.S.) degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. The posting specifies experience thresholds of 4+ years for M.Tech holders and 5+ years for B.Tech holders.
