GPU IP Integration Model Build Engineer
Intel CorporationJob Title
GPU IP Integration Model Build Engineer
Role Summary
Integrate and validate functional verification models for graphics IP (3D graphics and media) to ensure designs meet specifications. Work with cluster owners to integrate their code into media IP and contribute to verification infrastructure and test frameworks.
Experience Level
Mid-level - typically 3β7 years of relevant hands-on experience in pre-silicon simulation model builds, VLSI design, or testing.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities focus on integrating verification models, building test infrastructure, and driving IP validation and handoff to SoC teams.
- Integrate functional verification models for graphics and media logic components.
- Define and implement verification infrastructure and test framework modules (TFMs).
- Collaborate with cluster owners to integrate and validate their code within the media IP.
- Design and develop test environments, stress stimuli, and trackers to validate components and systems.
- Architect and implement IP test environments (checkers, monitors, verification components) using industry-standard flows.
- Validate IP using established processes and support handoff to SoC integration.
- Diagnose issues, propose and implement solutions, and drive sustainable fixes across teams.
Requirements
Core technical skills and practical experience required for the role.
Must-have
- 3β7 years of hands-on experience in pre-silicon simulation model builds, VLSI design, or testing.
- Experience designing and optimizing test environments, stress stimuli, and trackers.
- Expertise implementing IP test environments and verification flows (examples: Verdi, VCS, UVM/OVM).
- Familiarity with digital design fundamentals (combinatorial/sequential logic, FSMs, registers, counters).
- Knowledge of validation processes and tools used for IP validation and SoC handoff (e.g., HSD-ES, DCCB/APM, Gatekeeper management).
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Ruby.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and technical analysis skills; ability to drive solutions to completion.
Nice-to-have
- Understanding of media industry trends and technologies.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for cross-team collaboration.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related field preferred; typically combined with 3β7 years of relevant hands-on experience in pre-silicon/model build, VLSI, or testing.
