Job Title

GPU Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for architecting, implementing and verifying GPU hardware and system-level functionality to ensure correctness, performance, and power targets. Works with architecture, design, firmware, software, modeling, emulation and post-silicon teams to develop verification methodology, test content and automation.

Experience Level

Mid-level (Level - Mid-Career). Preferred 1+ years of relevant hardware, software or systems engineering experience; typical hires have early-career to mid-level experience.

Responsibilities

Execute verification activities across pre- and post-silicon phases and maintain test infrastructure.

  • Design, build and maintain verification testbenches and environments using SystemVerilog/UVM.
  • Create system-level test content: directed tests, benchmarks, standards compliance suites and scenarios.
  • Develop constrained-random tests and functional coverage to validate features and corner cases.
  • Integrate verification with emulation/prototyping and CI/test automation flows.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, Design, Software, Firmware and Validation teams to define test methodology and requirements.
  • Run simulations, analyze results, debug failures and drive defect resolution.
  • Participate in architecture and micro-architecture reviews and provide verification feedback.
  • Document test plans, procedures and feature descriptions for assigned projects.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical experience; preferred items noted separately.

  • Must have: Experience with SystemVerilog/UVM, Verilog or VHDL and C/C++.
  • Must have: Verification skills: test planning, scripting, simulation, debugging, and constrained-random test development with functional coverage.
  • Must have: Experience writing and maintaining testbenches and verification frameworks; ability to automate CI and test execution.
  • Must have: Strong problem solving and data-driven test result analysis.
  • Nice to have: Experience with emulation/prototyping platforms (Veloce, Palladium, Zebu, FPGA/Protium/HAPS), formal verification (FPV/DPV), or developing synthesizable transactors and monitors for emulation.
  • Nice to have: GPU/system or subsystem verification experience, graphics API exposure (Vulkan/DX11/DX12), embedded firmware or kernel-level debugging, scripting/automation (Python, Make, Airflow).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is listed as preferred. The posting does not specify certifications; related practical experience may be considered.
