GPU Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Performs functional verification of GPU/graphics IP (3D graphics, media, display) to ensure designs meet microarchitecture and specification requirements. Collaborates with architects, RTL developers, and physical design teams to validate features, debug issues, and improve verification infrastructure and methodology.
Experience Level
Mid-level - requires approximately 6+ years of silicon design verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include designing and executing verification plans and infrastructure to validate GPU logic.
- Define and develop scalable, reusable IP verification plans, testbenches, and verification architecture.
- Execute verification plans and run system simulations to verify functionality, power, and timing.
- Replicate, root-cause, and debug presilicon issues and implement corrective measures.
- Collaborate with GPU architects, RTL and physical design teams to meet functional, performance, and power goals.
- Document test plans and drive technical reviews with design and architecture teams.
- Maintain and improve functional verification infrastructure, methodology, and related TFMs.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Proficient with Verilog, SystemVerilog, and UVM.
- Experience in pre‑silicon verification: testplan and testbench development, coverage and assertion writing, and closure.
- Debug experience with industry-standard frontend design and verification flows, tools, and methodologies.
- Exposure to CPU or GPU architecture and computer architecture concepts.
- Programming/scripting skills (Python, Perl, Shell) and test automation experience.
- Experience with IP coverage and functional verification; prior IP development experience is a plus.
- Good verbal and written communication skills; effective team player and able to manage multiple tasks.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering; the posting specifies 6+ years of experience in silicon design development.
