Job Title

GPU Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for functional verification of GPU blocks and related SoC integration. Collaborate with GPU design and architecture teams to create verification plans, environments, and tests that ensure correct functionality, coverage, and performance.

Work includes developing scalable verification methodology and environments, executing regressions, debugging failures, and tracking DV progress and coverage metrics.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” typically requires around 5+ years of ASIC design verification or related engineering experience; candidates with equivalent experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work with GPU design and architecture teams to derive verification requirements.
  • Develop detailed test and functional coverage plans from architecture and micro-architecture.
  • Design and implement verification environments, including stimulus, checkers, assertions, trackers, and coverage.
  • Create UVM tests and testbenches for assigned functional domains.
  • Execute bring-up, regression suites, feature enablement, and debug failed tests.
  • Track and report verification progress, bugs, and coverage metrics.
  • Develop and deploy new verification methodologies to improve effectiveness and scalability.

Requirements

Must-have and desirable skills:

  • Must-have: ASIC design verification experience (typical hire target ~5+ years); test planning, simulation, debug, and scripting (Perl, Python).
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM; experience with Verilog or VHDL and C/C++.
  • Experience with constrained-random verification and functional coverage development; strong design debug skills.
  • Nice-to-have: RTL design or SoC architecture background; GPU architecture and GPU verification methodologies.
  • Experience with version control systems (Perforce, Git, ClearCase) and issue/task tracking tools (JIRA).
  • Experience with HW-SW co-verification, co-simulation, or formal verification is a plus.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of ASIC design/verification experience; OR Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with 1+ year of ASIC experience; OR PhD in a relevant field. Applications with equivalent practical experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
