RTL Design Jobs, Level - Mid-Career

Job Title

GPU Design Integration Engineer

Role Summary

Join the GPU ASICs engineering team to design and integrate GPU IP into system-on-chip (SoC) products. The role focuses on architecture and micro-architecture of integration-related IP, RTL design and synthesis, logic and timing verification, and assembling complex IP blocks into a complete GPU.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typically requires 5+ years of ASIC design, verification, or related experience; see Education Requirements for degree-specific minimums.

Responsibilities

The engineer will own integration tasks across the GPU IP stack and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

  • Define architecture and micro-architecture for integration-related IP and interfaces.
  • Develop and qualify RTL (SystemVerilog) and implement frontend checks (Lint, CDC).
  • Perform logic design, RTL coding, and synthesis flow support.
  • Implement functional ECOs and support timing closure activities.
  • Verify multi-clock domain designs and ensure correct clocking/reset/debug architecture.
  • Integrate IP blocks into SoC-level GPU designs and validate interfaces (AMBA/AXI/AHB/APB where applicable).
  • Collaborate with software, power, and other design teams; communicate status and coordinate critical tasks.

Requirements

Must-have technical experience and skills. Preferred items listed separately.

  • 5+ years of ASIC design, verification, or related engineering experience.
  • RTL expertise in SystemVerilog and experience qualifying RTL with Lint and CDC tools.
  • Strong logic design, micro-architecture, and RTL coding skills.
  • Practical understanding of synthesis flows and timing concepts for ASICs.
  • Experience with multi-clock domain design and functional ECO implementation.
  • Ability to self-direct, manage multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills for coordinating cross-team activities.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB) and clocking/reset/debug architectures.
  • Experience scripting in Python for automation.
  • GPU or multimedia IP development experience.
  • Familiarity with low-power design techniques.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (posting also notes broader "Science, Engineering, or related field"). Minimum Qualifications listed by degree: Bachelor's +6 years relevant experience, Master's +5 years, or PhD +4 years.
