GPU Core Pipeline IP Verification Engineer

Role Summary

The engineer will perform IP-level verification for GPU ASIC control and pipeline subsystems, developing verification infrastructure, testbenches, and coverage to validate RTL against specifications. The role sits on the ASIC Verification team and collaborates with architects, designers, and verification engineers to ensure design correctness for graphics and compute features.

Work impacts GPU product lines across consumer graphics, data center AI, and automotive markets.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning and executing verification tasks at the IP level and collaborating with design and architecture teams.

  • Define verification scope and develop IP-level verification plans and infrastructure.
  • Implement testbenches, directed tests and randomized tests to achieve functional and code coverage goals.
  • Develop and maintain golden models and reference implementations as needed for validation.
  • Debug RTL using simulation and debug tools; analyze failures and track issues to closure with designers.
  • Work with HW architects and designers to resolve design and implementation issues.
  • Integrate verification components into continuous regression and release flows.

Core technical requirements and desirable skills.

  • Must-have: Hands-on verification experience at Unit/Sub-system/SoC level; strong analytical and debugging ability.
  • Must-have: Familiarity with Verilog and C++ and basic OOP concepts.
  • Must-have: Experience with simulation and debug tools (eg. VCS or equivalent; debug tools such as Debussy, GDB).
  • Must-have: Good understanding of computer architecture concepts relevant to GPUs.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of SystemVerilog or similar HVLs and verification methodologies such as UVM/VMM.
  • Desirable: Experience with scripting and tool development (Python, Perl) and prior work on 3D graphics or processor verification.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Education Requirements

B.Tech. or M.Tech. degree. The posting specifies 1+ years of relevant experience.
