Role Summary
Join NVIDIA's GPU Architecture group to design, simulate, and validate hardware features that improve graphics, parallel programming models, and compute performance. Work with architects and researchers to build simulators and infrastructure required for architecture exploration and verification.
Experience Level
Entry-level (New college graduate, class of 2027). Suitable for candidates with minimal industry experience or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
Key day-to-day responsibilities include design, simulation, and verification of GPU architecture features.
- Investigate and design new hardware features for future graphics and parallel-processing architectures.
- Document designs and develop tools to analyze, simulate, validate, and verify functional and performance models.
- Develop tests, test plans, and testing infrastructure for new graphics or parallel-processing architectures.
- Work with simulators, RTL, and silicon during design and validation.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and background. Education degree details are listed under Education Requirements below.
- Strong programming ability in C and C++; experience with Perl and Python.
- Background in computer architecture, graphics algorithms, parallel processing, signal processing, and/or high-performance computing.
- Experience or willingness to work on simulator development, RTL, and silicon validation.
- Ability to develop tests and testing infrastructure and to work effectively in a collaborative engineering team.
- Good written documentation skills for design and validation artifacts.
Education Requirements
MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Position targets new college graduates (class of 2027) and accepts equivalent experience in lieu of the listed degree.
