Global Quality Front-End Central Quality Assurance Engineer / Sr Engineer (GQ FECTQA MOI)

Role Summary

Responsible for centralized quality operations supporting Micron wafer fabrication sites across Asia and the United States, focusing on automated quality screening, lot disposition, statistical risk assessment, and operational excellence.

Collaborate with Site QA, Product Engineering, Reliability, Manufacturing, and Global Quality teams to drive data-driven disposition decisions and network-wide quality improvements.

Experience Level

Senior — 3–5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, product engineering, quality, reliability, or test engineering.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include developing screening systems, assessing lot quality risks, analyzing manufacturing data, and driving automation and standardization across sites.

  • Design and implement quality screening strategies, business rules, and automated disposition workflows.
  • Perform wafer lot disposition and risk assessments using electrical test data, characterization, and process history.
  • Develop statistical models for outlier detection, SPC, distribution and trend analysis, and monitoring.
  • Create dashboards and reports to improve operational visibility and decision-making.
  • Support AI/ML and automation initiatives to reduce manual intervention and enable decision-support systems.
  • Coordinate with global Site QA and cross-functional teams for root-cause analysis, CAPA, and containment actions.
  • Lead continuous-improvement projects to standardize and scale centralized quality operations.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, domain knowledge, and behaviors for the role.

  • Must-have: 3–5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, quality, reliability, product, or test engineering.
  • Must-have: Strong knowledge of statistical methodologies: SPC, outlier detection, distribution and trend analysis, data visualization, and risk assessment.
  • Must-have: Understanding of wafer fabrication, probe and parametric testing, quality systems, defect containment, and disposition processes.
  • Must-have: Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, experience analyzing large manufacturing datasets, and clear written and verbal communication in English.
  • Must-have: Ability to collaborate across global teams and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with memory products (DRAM, NAND, HBM), ML/predictive analytics, dashboard tools (Tableau, Power BI, Spotfire), enterprise automation, and quality methodologies (FMEA, CAPA, 8D, Six Sigma, Lean).

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, Statistics, or a related technical discipline. Preferred: Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
