Role Summary

Lead end-to-end operational execution to scale Lumilens’ optical transceivers and photonics products from NPI into high-volume global manufacturing. Serve as the single-threaded owner for delivery, cost, quality, and capacity across the company’s manufacturing ecosystem, working with OEM/EMS partners, suppliers, and internal engineering and planning teams.

Experience Level

Senior-level — experienced operations/manufacturing leader (typically 7+ years in operations, supply chain, or manufacturing roles for hardware or deep-tech products).

Responsibilities

Accountable for manufacturing delivery, cost, quality and scalable ramp-up across global partners.

• Own on-time delivery, cost, quality, yield, and capacity for 800G/1.6T optical modules and future products.
• Escalate and resolve production, yield, capacity, quality, and supplier issues.
• Translate demand and revenue targets into build plans, capacity commitments, and supply strategies.
• Lead and govern global manufacturing ecosystem: EMS/ODM, OSATs, fabs, and sub-tier suppliers.
• Drive capacity planning, ramp readiness, risk mitigation, and dual-sourcing strategies.
• Negotiate and manage commercial agreements, pricing, capacity reservations, and cost-down initiatives.
• Own COGS performance, BOM cost reductions, and PPV tracking.
• Partner with Product and Hardware Engineering to embed DFM/DFX and ensure manufacturability and high yield.
• Implement S&OP, demand planning, supplier scorecards, QMS practices, and executive operating cadence (build reviews, QBRs, dashboards).
• Build, mentor, and lead teams across operations, supply chain, planning, and quality; clarify ownership and decision rights.

Requirements

Must-have experience and capabilities for immediate impact.

• Proven leadership in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain within hardware, deep-tech, or advanced electronics.
• Track record scaling products from NPI to high-volume manufacturing with ownership of yield, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Strong technical foundation in optics, semiconductors, or electronics manufacturing and hands-on manufacturing process development, yield analysis, and root-cause problem solving.
• Commercial experience negotiating pricing, capacity commitments, long-term supply agreements, and delivering cost reductions.
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, reliability testing, and quality standards for high-volume electronics/optics manufacturing.
• Experience coordinating Asia-based manufacturing hubs (Taiwan, Thailand, China, Vietnam); familiarity with Singapore operations is an advantage.
• Effective cross-functional leadership, strong English communication, and ability to travel internationally as required.
• Nice-to-have: direct experience with optical transceivers, data-center hardware, high-speed networking products, or prior work with EMS/ODM partners at scale.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or advanced technical degree / MBA in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, physics, or a related technical field (as stated in the posting).
