GaN Device/Product Development Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for end-to-end tape-out execution and mask data delivery for Gallium Nitride (GaN) technologies. The role supports multiple concurrent tape-out flows, mask data generation/signoff, and coordination with foundries and mask vendors.
Position is based in Kodaira (Tokyo), Japan. The team uses a hybrid work model: two remote days per week with on-site collaboration days (assigned Tuesday–Thursday).

Responsibilities
Execute and coordinate tape-out and mask activities to ensure timely, high-quality mask deliverables.
- Develop and verify PCM (Process Control Monitor) layouts and alignment mark layouts to meet lithography/process requirements.
- Generate and validate stepper reticle 1:1 aligner mask layouts; optimize mask layouts for manufacturability.
- Run DRC (Design Rule Checks), mask data validation, and MEBES checks to ensure mask write readiness.
- Manage tape-out operations and schedules across multiple flows; coordinate with design, process, and mask vendors.
- Prepare mask data per foundry requirements and perform final verification and signoff of mask data.
- Track mask orders and associated purchase orders; coordinate scheduling, delivery, and issue resolution with mask houses.
- Maintain quality and compliance of deliverables against internal standards and external vendor specifications.
- Communicate and align activities with global and Japanese-speaking stakeholders.

Education Requirements
