Role Summary

Contribute to the design, development, validation, and debugging of embedded firmware across BIOS, microcontrollers, and memory systems. Work on system-level modeling, algorithm development, and hardware-software integration within constrained embedded environments.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship (student / intern role). No prior professional experience required beyond coursework or project work.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and debug embedded software and firmware components.
• Perform system-level modeling, algorithm development, and performance benchmarking.
• Integrate software with hardware, including timing- and memory-constrained implementations.
• Create and execute validation plans and assist with debugging and validation activities.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to ensure robust firmware solutions.
• Learn tools, techniques, and best practices through hands-on projects and mentorship.

Requirements

Key technical skills and attributes.

• Must-have: Solid understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and low-level software concepts.
• Must-have: Proficiency in C and C++; familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Shell.
• Must-have: Knowledge of firmware fundamentals and debugging techniques.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with algorithm design or performance benchmarking.
• Nice-to-have: Prior technical customer support experience or experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
