Functional Verification Application Engineering Consultant
Role Summary
Provide technical pre-sales and post-sales support for Siemens EDA functional verification products. Work with account managers to qualify opportunities, define evaluations and benchmarks, perform demonstrations, and ensure customer success and product adoption.
Experience Level
Senior-level — requires 10+ years of experience in EDA or semiconductor functional verification.
Responsibilities
Lead technical activities that support sales execution and customer evaluations.
- Provide technical leadership across sales campaigns and contribute to pre- and post-sales account strategies.
- Qualify the technical viability of opportunities and advise the sales team.
- Lead technical presentations, demonstrations, evaluations, and benchmarks.
- Define evaluation and benchmark criteria aligned with customers' production flows.
- Position Siemens EDA products and articulate value propositions to customers.
- Develop and maintain ongoing customer relationships and support adoption.
- Collaborate with product and marketing teams to communicate customer needs and influence product direction.
Requirements

- 10+ years experience in the EDA or semiconductor industry with focus on functional verification.
- Working knowledge of SystemVerilog, UVM, and SystemVerilog Assertions.
- Strong understanding of ASIC and FPGA design and functional verification flows.
- Strong knowledge of functional-level verification methodologies.
- Effective presentation and communication skills; able to lead technical demos and evaluations.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively with sales and engineering teams.
- Willingness to travel up to ~30% for customer engagements.
- Position based in the greater Denver, CO area; candidates must relocate immediately if not local.
- Role is subject to U.S. export control (ITAR/EAR); employment contingent on verifying U.S. Person status or obtaining necessary export license.
- Nice-to-have: experience with emulation methodology, static verification, and/or formal verification; applications engineering experience.
Education Requirements
BS degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical field is required; MS preferred. Equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
