Functional Verification Application Engineer

Role Summary

This is a customer-facing Field Application Engineer role supporting Siemens EDA tools in pre-sales, evaluations, and deployments. The role partners with account teams to assess customer needs, recommend solutions, and drive technical adoption across customer verification flows.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early career: requires a minimum of 3 years relevant experience (or advanced degree with equivalent experience) per the role guidance.

Responsibilities

Deliver technical support and guidance to customers and account teams to win and expand business opportunities.

• Build technical relationships with individual contributors and first-line managers to identify needs and influence strategy.
• Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations that highlight Siemens EDA product value.
• Lead technical benchmarks, evaluations, pilots, and deployments to successful outcomes.
• Integrate Siemens tools into customer flows and drive product adoption and standardization.
• Coordinate resources across R&D, Support, Services, and sales to resolve customer challenges.
• Provide license and product-configuration recommendations to Account Managers.
• Share evaluation results, competitive insights, and account updates with internal teams.
• Mentor and cross-train newer Field AEs when assigned.

• Must-have: Strong proficiency with core Siemens EDA tools and the ability to develop extensions (scripts, APIs, dashboards).
• Must-have: Ability to communicate complex technical content clearly and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must-have: Knowledge of competitive EDA tools and environments to articulate Siemens' technical advantages.
• Must-have: Demonstrated experience collaborating across diverse teams (sales, R&D, support, services).
• Nice-to-have: Prior experience enabling product adoption, optimizing customer flows, or recommending license mixes.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with equivalent experience (degree fields not specified). Equivalent practical experience is acceptable per the posting.
