Job Title

Front-End Integration Engineer

Role Summary

Member of the NIC Silicon group in NVIDIA's Networking business unit. Maintain and improve front-end build and CI pipelines for ASIC/SoC development, integrate EDA tools into automated flows, and support RTL and verification teams to deliver hardware builds.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” typically requires 3+ years of industry experience in ASIC/SoC front-end integration, CAD, or EDA flow automation.

Responsibilities

Operate and improve front-end CI/build infrastructure; automate flows; and support engineering teams to reduce cycle time and failures.

  • Own and maintain Continuous Integration pipelines (lint, synthesis, equivalence checking, simulation) and resolve daily/nightly CI issues.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Tcl, Shell) to integrate EDA tools into automated build pipelines.
  • Manage Perforce streams/branches, workspace specs, changelists, and release labels in a multi-IP hardware build environment.
  • Support RTL and verification engineers by debugging flow crashes, bottlenecks, environment setups, and CI failure reports.
  • Implement quality gates and automated pre-commit checks (linting, style enforcement) to protect main streams.
  • Monitor and optimize compute farm (LSF) and storage usage to reduce pipeline runtime and improve execution efficiency.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical experience.

  • 3+ years of hands-on industry experience in ASIC/SoC front-end integration, CAD, or EDA flow automation.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Perforce (P4 / Helix Core): streams, workspace specs, changelists, and labels.
  • Proficiency in scripting: Python, Tcl, and Bash/Shell for flow development and automation.
  • Practical experience with front-end ASIC EDA tools (for example SpyGlass, Build Compiler, Xcelium).
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to resolve build and flow issues under deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills for cross-team collaboration.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience writing Perforce automation (P4 Python scripts) or pre-submit/post-submit triggers.
  • Experience building automated regression dashboards, notifications (Slack/Teams), or pipeline health reporting tools.
  • Verification experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field β€” or equivalent practical experience.
