Job Title

FPGA Verification Engineer - UVM/SystemVerilog Expert

Role Summary

Design and implement a comprehensive verification environment for FPGA/ASIC designs using UVM and SystemVerilog. The role focuses on building reusable, self-checking testbenches and verification IP to validate high-speed SERDES interfaces and complex RTL.

Experience Level

Mid-level.

Responsibilities

The engineer will develop and maintain verification infrastructure and tests to ensure correct RTL behavior and interoperability of high-speed interfaces.

  • Design and implement UVM-based verification environments and testbenches in SystemVerilog.
  • Develop self-checking, reusable testbenches, test sequences, and verification IP.
  • Implement drivers, monitors, scoreboards, and reference models using object-oriented principles.
  • Write and maintain assertions (SVA) to capture protocol and functional checks.
  • Verify high-speed SERDES interfaces such as JESD204C, PCIe, and Ethernet.
  • Debug functional failures with RTL designers and iterate on testcases and DUT fixes.
  • Maintain regression suites and verification documentation.

Requirements

Required technical skills and proven experience for successful performance in this role.

  • Must-have: Strong SystemVerilog and UVM experience for verification environment development.
  • Must-have: Experience writing assertions (SVA) and building drivers, monitors, and scoreboards.
  • Must-have: Proven experience verifying high-speed SERDES interfaces (JESD204C, PCIe, Ethernet).
  • Must-have: Experience developing self-checking, reusable testbenches and verification IP using OO principles.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with simulation and debug tools and scripting to support verification workflows.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science (BS) in engineering or a related field is listed as the preferred education.
