Job Title

FPGA Verification Engineer: UVM, SystemVerilog & Debugging

Role Summary

We are seeking an FPGA Verification Engineer to verify FPGA designs using advanced verification methodologies. The role focuses on developing and executing verification plans, building SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches, running simulations, and debugging design issues.

The engineer will work with cross-functional teams (RTL designers, firmware, and system engineers) to improve product quality and close verification gaps.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Specific years of experience were not specified in the source posting.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning and executing verification activities for FPGA designs and collaborating with design teams to resolve issues.

  • Develop verification plans and test strategies for FPGA features and modules.
  • Design and implement SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches and verification environments.
  • Run simulations, maintain regressions, and track coverage metrics.
  • Debug functional failures using waveform and log analysis; isolate RTL issues.
  • Collaborate with RTL, firmware, and system teams to reproduce and resolve bugs.
  • Automate verification flows and maintain verification infrastructure.
  • Document verification results, test cases, and known issues.

Requirements

Concise list of must-have and nice-to-have skills based on the posting.

  • Must-have: Proven experience verifying FPGA designs using SystemVerilog and UVM.
  • Must-have: Strong debugging skills with simulation and waveform analysis to isolate RTL/FPGA issues.
  • Must-have: Experience creating verification plans, writing testbenches, and running regression suites.
  • Must-have: Familiarity with industry-standard verification and simulation tools and workflows.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with FPGA toolchains, hardware bring-up, scripting for automation, or coverage-driven verification enhancements.
  • Nice-to-have: Prior collaboration with cross-functional teams in a hardware product development environment.

Education Requirements
