FPGA Post Silicon Validation Intern
Role Summary
Participate in post-silicon IC validation and platform/infrastructure enablement for high-speed FPGA/PLD devices. Support cross-functional engineering teams to validate device performance and improve validation processes and throughput.
Experience Level
Entry-level intern; suitable for students or recent graduates. No specific years of experience required.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop device validation strategies, test plans, and schedules by consolidating requirements from engineering and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate on high-speed PCB board design and layout.
- Design and generate test patterns and vectors for device characterization.
- Perform bench measurements using high-bandwidth oscilloscopes, signal generators, programmable power supplies, and multimeters.
- Drive improvements in IP validation methodology, validation platforms, and infrastructure to increase throughput.
Requirements
Expectations and preferred skills:
- No mandatory industry experience; suitable for students and fresh graduates.
- Basic knowledge or interest in FPGA architecture and digital IC validation.
- Familiarity with programming or scripting (Tcl, C, VBA, HTML) is a plus.
- Experience or coursework with high-speed test and measurement equipment is a plus.
- Ability to work in a laboratory environment and collaborate across hardware and software teams.
Education Requirements
BSEE or MSEE (Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering) or equivalent. Fresh graduates encouraged to apply; equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
