Role Summary

Work on design, implementation, test, and deployment of FPGA devices and circuits for high-speed optical networking within Nokia's Optical Products Division. The role focuses on bringing large-scale FPGA features from specification to production, collaborating with hardware and software teams, and supporting factory and field deployments.

Experience Level

Entry-level — expects approximately 2+ years of professional experience in FPGA or ASIC development.

Responsibilities

The role covers end-to-end FPGA development and system bring-up for production optical networking equipment.

• Design and implement feature requirements for large-scale FPGA designs.
• Develop, test, and deploy FPGA firmware and associated verification/simulation artifacts.
• Collaborate with board designers and software developers to bring up and troubleshoot complex systems.
• Debug package- and system-level issues during bring-up and integration.
• Provide follow-up support for factory testing and field deployment phases.

  • Minimum ~2 years of experience in FPGA or ASIC development and simulation.
  • Experience debugging and troubleshooting complex board- and system-level issues.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (board designers, software developers) on system bring-up.
