FPGA Engineer
Role Summary
Design and implement FPGA-based applications and the tools used to develop, test, and validate them. Work predominately with high-level RTL construction and testing using OCaml/Hardcaml, with supplemental Verilog and C as required.
Collaborate with engineers to build end-to-end FPGA projects, improve development tooling, and integrate designs with vendor toolchains and target hardware.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design and implement RTL for new FPGA applications using high-level construction techniques.
- Develop and extend internal design, testing, and validation tools for FPGA workflows.
- Write and integrate Verilog and C components as required for system integration.
- Build, synthesize, and debug working FPGA projects using vendor tools (Vivado or Quartus).
- Collaborate with team members on architecture, testing strategy, and deployment to hardware.
- Maintain and improve test benches, simulation setups, and CI for hardware projects.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred qualifications:

Must-have: Strong programming skills and familiarity with a software programming language.

Must-have: Experience with a hardware description or construction language (VHDL, Verilog, Chisel, PyMTL, or similar) for design and testing.

Must-have: Experience with FPGA vendor toolchains (Vivado or Quartus) and delivering a working FPGA project (academic, professional, or personal).

Must-have: Effective collaborator, intellectually curious, and fluent in English.
