Experience Level

Mid-level β€” typical candidates have ~3+ years of relevant experience. (The posting also lists Master's with 2+ years or PhD holders as eligible.)

Responsibilities

The role focuses on FPGA-based prototyping and validation of RTL and system integration.

  • Develop and maintain FPGA-based prototype systems.
  • Implement and synthesize ASIC/RTL designs on FPGA platforms.
  • Integrate, debug, and verify RTL in the FPGA environment.
  • Collaborate with ASIC design, verification, physical design, and system teams to enable early hardware and software validation.
  • Analyze prototype performance and address functional or timing issues.
  • Support bring-up, testing, and deployment of FPGA prototype platforms.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for successful execution of the role.

  • Experience with FPGA synthesis tools such as Altera Quartus and AMD (Xilinx) Vivado and familiarity with FPGA as a prototyping platform.
  • Expertise troubleshooting and resolving Static Timing Analysis (STA) issues in FPGA designs.
  • Experience with hardware simulation tools and RTL design.
  • Strong debugging skills for root-cause analysis of design and verification issues.

Nice-to-have / preferred:

  • Familiarity with digital design fundamentals and hardware board design concepts.
  • Familiarity with SystemVerilog for testbench creation and functional verification.
  • Experience with Synplify Premier or Synopsys FPGA synthesis tools.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional work.

Education Requirements
