Role Summary
Work on FPGA design and hardware/firmware integration for electronic products. Contribute to schematic-level analysis, FPGA implementation, embedded firmware, and lab bring-up as part of an engineering team focused on product development.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early career β typically 2+ years of electrical engineering experience.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Design, implement, and verify FPGA logic (VHDL/Verilog) and integrate with system firmware.
- Read and analyze circuit schematics and PCB designs to diagnose and resolve hardware issues.
- Develop, test, and debug embedded C code for microcontrollers where required.
- Perform lab bring-up, testing, and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and programming tools.
- Collaborate with hardware and firmware engineers to deliver prototypes and production-ready designs.
- Document designs, test procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Requirements
Key qualifications and skills:

Must-have: Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical engineering; practical firmware and hardware knowledge; ability to interpret circuit diagrams and troubleshoot hardware.

Must-have: FPGA experience (Xilinx preferred). Internship or co-op FPGA experience acceptable; professional FPGA experience preferred.

Must-have: Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-have: Experience with C, VHDL, or Verilog.

Nice-to-have: Experience with microcontrollers and embedded firmware development.
Education Requirements
B.S. degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred. Other engineering degrees may be considered based on experience.
