FPGA Engineer
Role Summary
Design, implement, and test FPGA logic and associated firmware for electronic systems. Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate and verify designs at the circuit and board level in a fast-paced engineering team.
Experience Level
Entry-level β 2 or more years of electrical engineering experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design and implement FPGA logic targeting Xilinx devices.
- Develop and maintain firmware that interfaces with FPGA designs and microcontrollers.
- Read and analyze schematics and circuit behavior to support design and debugging.
- Perform lab-based verification and hardware/software integration testing.
- Document designs, test procedures, and results; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Learn and adapt quickly to changing technical requirements and schedules.
Requirements
Minimum and preferred technical qualifications.

Must-have: 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering; practical FPGA experience (Xilinx preferred); ability to interpret circuits and schematics; willingness to learn in a rapid-paced environment.

Nice-to-have: Experience with VHDL, Verilog, or C; microcontroller experience; prior FPGA internship or co-op experience acceptable but real-world experience preferred; hands-on hardware debug experience.
Education Requirements
B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering preferred; other engineering degrees may be considered based on experience. Equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
